My Blog

Thinking of making Christmas gifts?
I have two new versatile patterns for those nature lovers and students or artists in your life. For the students or artists we have a writing utensil travel case. It can be use for Inktense pencils or any writing utensils.
For those nature lovers how about an apron, mug rug or bag with scientifically accurate butterflies that you paint for them.
This versatile case can be used for any writing utensils you want to keep in order and safe! Make it for your pencils and give one (or more) as a gift. The pattern includes written instructions with a fun and easy to follow video.

Coming up!

The Blanket Flower, Gaillardia
It's an awesome wildflower along with a beautiful pattern to paint! This will be a full version of the mini pattern that's free.
Guild Presentations and Workshops
Would your guild be interested in a presentation on Wildflowers and Inktense on fabric? Or a workshop on coloring one of my patterns? Or do you know a guild who might be interested?
"I’m quite pleased with my results...Thank you for a wonderful workshop!"

Blooper Section
This is a new section showing my projects that didn't turn out quite how I would have liked.
Below is my Zebra Mug Rug. Apparently mug rugs are the size of the original sheet, about 8 x 10, and the facing binding just doesn't do much for my little coaster/rug, not to mention, it's a bit crooked and wonky :)
Speaking of Butterflies...
Did you know the Zebra Longwing below is the Florida State Butterfly? You can attract these beauties to your yard by planting native Passion Vine.
Find one in Florida by going to https://www.plantrealflorida.org/professionals/. Not in Florida? Try googling 'Native Nurseries Near me'.
The Zebra Longwing below was painted by Kim Heise, check out her website: Florida Watercolor Artist | Kim Heise
